Va Beach

Man, I don't know why we came back. Marine Science Museum the first day, walked down to the fishing pier and saw a couple stingrays and some fish pulled in and cleaned. Drove over to Watertown Court and showed the boys my old house and elem school. Got body boards and hung out at the beach like bums. Perfect.

Ok, ok, time for an upgrade. The truck tent is cool, but we're thinking camping should be, I don't know... more comfortable. Still a good time, as always.

Great time as always, wish the weather cooperated better before Sunday though. Even so, the boys didn't mind one bit. That was a pretty nice dirt track they had digging up the beach, the stones seem to make it more fun than the sand. And, of course, we got some "jess-skiing" in. Good thing I remembered my license!

So, Jordan had some fun 'big guy' time away from the parents with Derek. That was cool as it left us 'Jesse time' to do the things we used to do with Jordan when he was that age. I'll admit, the frog hopper is pretty fun. Other than the same old stuff, my custom truck tent made its debut. It's a keeper.

Still a bit early in the year for swimming, but no one cares at all. It always sucks to leave, but we'll be going back again. We must.

Everyone is getting older. Nieces and nephews are all grown up doing their own thing now. Jesse is big enough for most rides which is awesome. Jordan is starting to dig the arcade more and more. And Rain and I just want comfy beds.

What can I say, it's always fun. Too bad our camper crapped out, but the tent we got was actually really nice. It was cool hanging out with Derek for the day, I know the boys enjoyed it too. Jesse's favorite ride had to be the Flyers. Jordan was digging the roller coasters, he even went for a night ride on the Twister. I hear Ruthie went on a few rides too! I wish Cesari's was closer, we could eat their pizza everyday. Home now, time to recoup.

We absolutely love going to the lake. Everything about it is great. The drive is so relaxing, the area is beautiful, the people are friendly, and the time we have is second to none. Jordan tried skiing! Aunt Vicki and Uncle Ray still got it. The rest of us took our turns at tubing, except Jesse, who would rather take a boatnap. I think the boys fished about every waking moment they could when we weren't making them have fun doing something else. This is the only place I've ever seen the boys cry that they didn't want to go. Neither did we, I've never wanted to have a place somewhere as much as I do there. Thanks again for everything.

Ocean City, NJ

Awesome. Took the boys to the beach for the first time, they had a blast. Surf, sun, seashells, sand castles, crabs and swimming. What more do you need? We stayed right on the ocean front not even a hundred feet from the boardwalk, it was great. Next trip to the shore will have to be VA, though. No substitute for the best!

Good times had by all. It's getting more fun for the boys as they are able to do more as they get bigger and I think we're starting to get this camping thing down.

Bucktail Happy Days Rock & Roll Party

Awesome time. 1950's theme weekend and we loved it. The cars, clothes and the music. The boys loved the park and all the things to do. The train was cool and the firetruck ride was even better. We all went hiking and hung out at the campsite, it was a good time. I need to make some of those swings...for the boys, of course.

First year with our own camper and it was great. Lots of ideas for next year already. Jordan is getting more into the arcade, Jesse was into some puppet show thing, don't ask.
