Harrisburg Field Trip

Chaperoned Jordan's group on their 4th grade trip to Harrisburg yesterday. It was a really interesting day; however, I wish we had more time in the Capitol building though. I really can't believe they don't have the Commonwealth's Constitution on display or even a copy of it somewhere to discuss on the school tour they do, that's almost insulting to anyone who's even half educated. After that we checked out the museum which was pretty interesting and went to Lake Tobias for the afternoon. All in all, it was a fun trip, sans the entire bus singing Frozen. Looking forward to doing it again with Jesse.

Tunkhannock Train Ride

Went with Pipa and Nana for a train ride tonight from Tunkhannock to the falls and back. Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance for pictures. It was pretty cool and we all had fun.

Bronze Hemlet

We did it! We beat Towanda on their own field and brought home the Bronze Helmet to Wyalusing! We didn't just beat them, we dominated them, 19-0. I'm so proud of this team ending the season the way we did with a record of 4-3. Shout out to Jordan who was our starting quarterback and had another pick this game at safety as well. I know it meant a lot to him, and to his team, and to us all. Excellent job boys!

Welcome to the lake, memories made here

Great time as always, wish the weather cooperated better before Sunday though. Even so, the boys didn't mind one bit. That was a pretty nice dirt track they had digging up the beach, the stones seem to make it more fun than the sand. And, of course, we got some "jess-skiing" in. Good thing I remembered my license!

Knoebel's was kfun

So, Jordan had some fun 'big guy' time away from the parents with Derek. That was cool as it left us 'Jesse time' to do the things we used to do with Jordan when he was that age. I'll admit, the frog hopper is pretty fun. Other than the same old stuff, my custom truck tent made its debut. It's a keeper.

Football

Looking forward to a great year, I'm completely stoked! 'Joe knows' football. Go Rams!

July 4th Party

Everything went off without a hitch. Better parking, better setup, better organization. After ten years of doing this we're finally starting to figure it out!

The Whole Nine Years

Jordan had his friends sleep over after his birthday party. Man, you're getting big, Buddy. Rain and I sat by the fire and just listened for a while. The things they come up with are something else. As they say, boys will be boys.

Still a bit early in the year for swimming, but no one cares at all. It always sucks to leave, but we'll be going back again. We must.
